Open Organizing Committee Positions
By now you likely know that the best way to spectate at any rally is to volunteer as an event worker! But did you know that the best way to get the very best spectating spots and brag-worthy opportunities is to volunteer on the organizing committee?
The Ojibwe Forests Rally organizing committee is looking for new and dedicated volunteers to work cooperatively over the next several months in order to put together the most excellent rally possible!
Organizing committee meetings are held once a month in Detroit Lakes, MN. Meeting dates and locations are listed here (details are added as they become available). Outside of the monthly meetings, the weekly time commitments vary with each position. You should expect to spend approximately one hour a week on committee responsibilities.
We have several open positions for you to consider. View the open positions here.
Additional points to consider:
All committee positions are expected to attend 75% of the meetings to retain voting privileges.
Every chief, coordinator and committee member will prepare a monthly report.
Each specialty is responsible for assisting with preparation of their portion of the budget.
Three months of any chief, coordinator or committee member failing to complete their responsibilities will result in a committee vote for removal.
To learn more about the open positions and meet current members of the organizing committee, you are invited to attend our next meeting on Saturday, December 12 at 3:00pm. Click here for more information and meeting details.
