The Northern Inn, longtime headquarters for the Ojibwe Forests Rally, and its sister hotel, the Comfort Inn Bemidji have been sold. Last day of operation for this Bemidji landmark is March 31, 2008. The Ojibwe Forests Rally organizing committee has been working with the local Visitor and Convention Bureau and the Bemidji Curling Club to set up new headquarters facilities with minimal disruption to the current rally operations. While the loss of the excellent registration, meeting and party facility is a blow, we feel that the Bemidji Curling Club offers a great alternative. What can't be easily replaced are 120 hotel rooms in the Bemidji area.
We have set up blocks of rooms at the AmericInn, Holiday Inn Express and Super 8 to help relieve the reservation stress. (Reservation code is OFR.) The Comfort Inn has already changed management and reservations made there before the sale should still be valid. We urge everyone to make reservations as early as possible. See below for information. If Bemidji becomes booked for the weekend, we'll post alternatives in nearby communities.

The hotel and resort managers of the Bemidji area are excited to have our event in their area and they welcome us with open arms. They promise us the best service they can deliver. In return, they ask that we respect their property. Their motel and hotel rooms are not suitable for rebuilding your racecars. Most will have rags available if you ask. Thank you!
